march ipsy glam bag review

After completing a short quiz about my beauty preferences and paying about $10, I received my first ipsy bag last week. If you’re thinking about subscribing to the monthly bag, or you’re wondering what other people got this month, read on to see how I liked the products I received.

Nudestix lip and cheek pencil in Mystic

nudestix ipsy

This creamy, satiny formula went on super smooth. Even though it’s a thicker pencil, it can be applied quite precisely. It does rub away easily, so I preferred this pencil on the cheeks, where I could blend it out for a subtle rosy color. I especially loved the nude pinky brown color I got.

NoTS 28 Remedy balancing toner

Korean beauty is all the rage these days, so it’s no wonder this Korean brand landed in my bag. I liked the light consistency of this toner, which basically felt like it disappeared after I applied it to my face. I didn’t see any noticeable difference in my complexion, though. This may be different for my lighter-skinned friends!

NYX liquid suede cream lipstick in Pink Lust

nyx ipsy

The formula of this lipstick is bomb. It’s super soft and creamy, and dries matte. It will easily last a full day of wear. BUT I couldn’t get past the color. It’s a neon pink and looks horrible on my olive skin. I would definitely look into purchasing other, toned-down colors of this, as it is very pigmented. But Pink Lust is a no-no for this girl.

Ofra eyeliner in Green Go

green eyeliner ipsy

This is an olive green liner with hints of gold sparkle. The problem is that the liner smudges easily and ends up looking grey-ish, leaving only gold glitter all over your eyes and hands. I expected this to be more pigmented because it had the potential to be a subtle pop of color on the lids. Alas, it is not.

Global Beauty Care dead sea mask

Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

I like the texture of this mask; it’s thin compared to other dead sea masks and spreads easily. It feels really creamy and is not at all abrasive on the skin. After letting dry on my face, I washed it off and noticed that my skin was much softer!

Overall, I liked most of the products in the bag and I’m glad I got to try them. My favorites were the Nudestix pencil and the dead sea mask. I’m looking forward to finding a more suitable color in the NYX lipstick as well! What did you all think of your bags? Let me know. 🙂
